Apple Mary

Ingredients

Filling

  1. Ida Red Apples 2lbs
  2. Sugar 2tbsp
  3. Cinnamon pinch

Crumble

  1. Flour ½ cup
  2. Oats ½ cup  
  3. Brown sugar ½ cup
  4. Cinnamon pinch
  5. Butter, room temp. ½ cup

Preparation

Filling

  1. Peel, core and slice apples into wedges (8ths)
  2. Toss apples with sugar and cinnamon until well coated
  3. Place apples in 2” deep oven pan

Crumble

  1. In a large bowl mix flour, brown sugar and cinnamon
  2. Add butter and mix by hand until butter is in small pieces, (size of a small pea).  The mixture should stick together when pressed but still fall apart easily
  3. Sprinkle mixture over the apples, do not press down
  4. Bake in 375°F oven for 45min to 1 hour, or until apples are slightly undercooked and the crumble is golden brown
