Frustrating Friday

Posted: Friday, January 9th, 2009

The frustration for commuters continues in our city as the transit strike wears on.  Members of the ATU have rejected the city's offer.  This is having an effect on citizens on so many levels: your job, your medical appointments, your budget, your time, your patience, your nerves, and more elements I know I'm missing.   And so it goes on with no resolution in sight, and a plan on what to do next to be finalized at the next council meeting Wednesday.

Be sure to tune in on Sunday to 'A' for the Telethon of Hope.  The 12th annual fundraiser for the Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation gets underway at 1pm and goes right through until 5pm.  We'll all be there - feel free to drop by - and if you can make a donation be sure to call in.  I'll be at the phone banks from 3-5pm.  An advance thanks to you and all the volunteers who help make this a success year after year.

Have a great weekend - if you like outdoor activities this fresh snow is sure to please you!  One more thing - lots of giveaways next week on 'A' Morning - tune in to win.

Cheers,
Karen
