The Monday after Christmas!

Hi everyone,
I hope you all had a wonderful break over the last few days, with time for family and friends during this festive season. It goes by too fast doesn't it? We've been experiencing all sorts of weather the past few days - wind, rain, freezing rain, incredibly mild temperatures. We'll see what 2009 brings! We had a wonderful Christmas Day with my in-laws in and lots of friends joining us for dinner. I'm happy to report the 22.4 pound turkey was a success - stuffing and all the fixings! Yummy.
Do you make any resolutions for the new year? I don't. Never have. I take the time to reflect back on the year that was and look forward to the year that is beginning, but I don't resolve to make any significant changes come January 1st. Nonetheless, if you're embarking on some changes in your life - good luck and all the power to you for implementing change.
We saw change today in a marvelous makeover. Our guest today recently celebrated her 50th birthday, 30 years of marriage, and lost 75 pounds. She's a mother of 4 grown boys and just a lovely lady who deserved a new look to celebrate her conquests, her milestones, and life in general!
