Friday

Oh what stocking stuffer fun we had this morning. Angie got the best opportunity to hit Byward Market stores early - before they opened - to show you some fabulous finds. Wal-Mart once again dazzled us with a display of super stuffers. Nice little gifts - or I guess little is relative depending on the size of the stocking!
What a week it has been for politics in our country. Everywhere I went this week - everyone had an opinion and was talking about the potential for a coalition government, the possibility of parliament being suspended, and maybe even another election. Wait a minute...what's wrong with this picture? Canadians are passionate and engaged about politics? Despite the turmoil and no matter what side of the battle you're on - it was refreshing to see the electorate take notice and to react to what was going on. The sad thing in all of this is those who did vote may now feel their vote didn't count. If and when another election is called it's important to get out and do it! If you look at the flipside of this...maybe we wouldn't be in the pickle we are if more Canadians did get out and vote! Your party may have done better and the results could have been different.
Have a wonderful weekend.
Cheers,
Karen
