Its Cold!!!

Hey Gang…

Are you all bundled up as you head out in the cold?  I was talking to Lianne Laing this morning…she was saying that our temperatures are a little below normal for this time of year…all I know is…its cold!!!

I was thinking about the cold while I was taking my dog Six for a walk at Bruce Pit yesterday…remember when you were growing up and adults would always say “wait til you get older”, referring to how things change.  One of the things that sticks in my mind is how my parents used to tell me that the older I got, the less I would enjoy the winter…and they were right!!!

It seems the older I get, the colder it feels when the cold winter weather arrives.  I used to be the kind of guy who would throw on a long sleeve shirt and a winter vest, and I’d be good to go…not anymore my friends.  Now, I need a long sleeve shirt, a hoodie, a full winter jacket, gloves and a hat everytime I leave the house!  Does your blood get thinner as time goes on?  Is it true that your body changes that much over time?  Is that why we Snowbirds fly the coop every winter?

By the way…make sure you dress in layers for the Help Santa Toy Parade on Saturday…supposed to minus 5, but at my age, it’ll feel like 30 below!!!
