CHANGE...IS GOOD

Good Morning Everyone!

The word of the day is....CHANGE.  I have to admit I was a little emotional watching what has transpired in the U.S. over the last few hours. The 44th president of the United States of America is an African American.  I'm sure there were some who thought they would never see this day in their lifetime.  He is a democrat, he is forward thinking in terms of basic human rights for ALL americans, in terms of climate change, in terms of health care, in terms of a senseless ongoing war in Iraq and in terms of addressing their worst economic crisis since the Great Depression.  Change can only be good.  What was most impressive was to see the RECORD voter turn out in the United States.  Some people waited 4 hours, even camped out overnight just to have their say. It's inspiring to see that after the historically poor voter turnout in our last election. 

You have to "BE THE CHANGE YOU WANT TO SEE IN THE WORLD".  I love that quote.

Well, tomorrow is Transit Thursday my friends!  That means you have to tune in at 6am to see what transit station I will descend upon with my armload of prizes!  I will once again issue some challenges that you will have to meet to win!  We'll be out there with the hot Tim Horton's coffee (although with this weather we should almost be out there with Tim Horton's Ice Capps!)  Don't you LOVE it?  I have to admit I've been bitten with a nasty flu bug and have been cooped up today so I haven't been able to enjoy it, but my kids are sure loving the milder temperatures! 

I hope to be back in the land of the living tomorrow though and soaking up every last bit of those double digits!
